Our client is a South African TV Production company which is in the process of setting up an office here in Qatar; they specialize in nature and adventure films and regularly produce for major global broadcasters such as the Discovery Channel, National Geographic and Animal Plant. However here in Qatar they are mainly focusing on productions for a new Arabic TV Channel to launch later this year as well as corporate productions.Our client is seeking an experienced all round Accountant who can look after all financial aspects for their business here in Qatar and must have local experience of financial law. Your main role would be to manage all budgets and accounts for each separate film / TV production and the general company accounts as well. This would also include payroll, staff expenses etc.
The office environment is hectic and can have long hour’s dependant on the film / TV productions being filmed at the time so candidates need to be flexible, adaptable and have a good sense of humor to fit into the company environment. Friday is the usual off day.
Arabic language is essential as well as around 5 years local all round accounting experience. Candidates are required to have a driving license with their own transport in case they are required to visit a filming set location in the course of their duties.
