STR Global working in partnership with a multidisciplinary urban regional planning, architectural and engineering consulting company are recruiting for a Planning/ Cost Engineer
Our client has a vision to continuously prove their status as a top architectural and engineering consulting firm and with 45 years in handling major projects this is a well established business that has an excellent reputation in the market.
In the role of Planning/ Cost Engineer you will be responsible for using the latest version of Primavera Project Management (P6) and Primavera Web Scheduling software for monitoring and reviewing baselines and updated schedules as well as cost.
You will be tracking all correspondence, drawings, submittals, material & equipment procurement, daily reports, transmittals, minutes of meetings, bills of quantities, proposals, requests for payment , change orders etc
Your responsibilities will include ensuring the standardisation of forms and reports for the client which is available in Primavera Contract Management (Expedition)
You will coordinate with the team of Engineers in the review and integration of schedules in to the client’s database and guide the contractors in preparation to the schedule.
You will be responsible for reviewing work programme submissions, verifying progress, adjusting the cost plans and cash flows, estimating time elements of change orders and evaluating contractor’s extension of time requests.
You will need to be degree qualified in an engineering discipline and also holding a certificate in planning and scheduling of projects in Primavera applications (Primavera Project Management/ P6 and Primavera Contract Management/ Expedition) and cost engineering.
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 19 years experience 3 of which should ideally be in a similar role with an engineering consultancy or project management consultancy.
Good oral and written English language skills, extensive knowledge and experience of project planning, budgeting, cost phasing and control from project initiation to close out phases.
Ideally you will have at least 3 years GCC experience and preferably be fully conversant with the standard forms of contracts used in public works authority projects
