Principal Highway Design Engineer
The Company
My client are a large global consultancy and they are looking to recruitment and experienced Principal Highway Design Engineer working on a large Roads/Highways project based in Oman.
The Position
Principal Highway Design Engineer duties
• Lead a large team of designers on the design management process, overseeing from concept to final design and tender.
• Guide senior and junior designers, as well as CAD designers, ensuring that a high level of quality work is delivered on the transport project
• Provide project support such as drawing up reports, reviewing and coordination of geometric approval drawings, plans, specifications and estimates.
• Interface with clients

Candidate requirements
• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• minimum of 15 – 20 years’ experience.
• strong technical background with good experience in the design of urban and rural expressways, grade-separated interchanges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of AASHTO
• Preferred candidate with experience in the GCC countries.
• Have a dynamic, professional approach when leading a team of designers.
• Solid track record and references will be required.
